What is small group fitness training?
Small group fitness training is professionally led workouts of only a few participants. Unlike in home personal training, the group meets at a designated location in NJ, close to where they live, and are led by an instructor. Exercises include training in:

Small Group Training FAQs
If you are accustomed to working out, then you certainly should sign up for one of our classes. We would love to have you with us and enjoy the workout experience in our group.
However, if you are not familiar with moving or exercising properly or safely, you should sign up for a 1:1 training session with Jagged Fitness before jumping right into group training. While we can certainly work individually with you in the group, we think you would benefit most from at least one or two individual sessions. You can learn more on this page here.
Our small group fitness training classes are ongoing. This means you can sign up at any time. For this reason, we structure the training to allow for different fitness levels to participate without impacting the group as a whole.
While fitness classes are structured for everyone, it is important to note that if it is your first time working out we always recommend that you begin the process with 1:1 training sessions.
Your instructor is trained to get the most out of each class member, regardless of where they are in training. Each workout is scalable for each participant’s fitness goals.
We only use qualified and experienced trainers. Each of our leaders is certified in several individual accredited disciplines, which may include:
- Certified Personal Training
- Certified Nutritional Consultant
- Certified Weightlifting Coach
- Certified Animal Flow Instructor
- Certified TRX Group Instructor
- Certified Kettlebell Group Instructor
- CPR and AED training
We take our education and your health seriously. Our instructors will monitor you and the others in small group training to make sure everyone is working out in the most healthy and safe way.
Each person’s ability to advance is different and based on many different physical and mental factors. One of the benefits of working with a small group is that you will have time to discuss any issues you are having with your instructor. Even though our instructors are trained professionals, they need your feedback to help shape the program to best suit your needs.
